LaShauntya Moore is a Washington, DC native raised east of the Anacostia River and a dedicated workforce development and youth leadership professional. She currently serves as Director of the Friends Corps at Friends of Anacostia Park (FoAP), where she leads a community-based workforce program that provides paid opportunities, skills development, and increased employability for local residents while supporting park operations, visitor services, and community engagement. With nearly two decades of experience in youth development, program coordination, and technical assistance, LaShauntya has supported the growth of service programs at both local and national levels, including her previous role with The Corps Network, where she guided organizations through program development, accreditation, and capacity-building efforts. Known for her organizational strength, reliability, and calm leadership, she excels at managing complex initiatives and coordinating diverse teams. Deeply rooted in the communities she serves, LaShauntya is committed to creating pathways to stability and opportunity for residents east of the river while helping parks function as spaces of growth, belonging, and possibility.
